Mia (Katie Jarvis), a 15-year-old girl lives with her mother Joanne (Kierston Wareing) and her acrid- tongued sister Her relationship with both of tem is strained, and her lone interest is in dance, and she's preparing for a test that she hopes to get through. According to her, passing the test will help her discard her hostile home. In the meantime, Joanne finds her latest boyfriend, Connor (Michael Fassbender), and this disturbs Mia.
