Abner Meecham (Hal Holbrook) is unhappy. His son put him into a retirement home and left him there. Instead of staying, Abner decides to flee and head back to his Tennessee farm. When he gets there, however, he's greeted by an unpleasant discovery - Abner's biggest enemy, Lonzo Choat (Ray McKinnon), is now leasing his old farm. When Abner steps in and protects Lonzo's daughter, Ludie (Carrie Preston), from Lonzo's abusive behavior things escalate quickly. Can Abner protect himself, Ludie, and the farm he loved from his biggest enemy, or is it time for him to accept defeat and return to his quiet retirement home? |
