Jesse Potenza (Halle Berry) is stuck in an unsatisfying marriage to Tony Potenza (Christopher MacDonald), but feels herself unable to get out due to a restrictive prenuptial agreement she signed. While on a brief vacation, she meets a stranger (Peter Greene) and tells him that she feels she would be better off if her husband were dead. Soon Tony is found dead, apparently in a botched robbery, and suspicion naturally falls on Jesse and her lover Jake (Clive Owen). Everyone involved must question who to trust and who is behind the killings. |
