When his family encounters financial troubles after the sudden death of his father, a young man with a desire to be a nurse must hit the working world and give up his school and career. Henry O’Shea (Joseph Cross) takes a job as a high-paying doorman to help his beleagued mother Grace (Annette O’Toole) with finances. His boss George (Joseph Pantoliano) informs Henry that the building has high-class residents, including rich penthouse beauty named Scarlett Dowling (Sarah Roemer) with whom Henry becomes smitten. To his delight, the attraction is reciprocated. Henry relies on advice from Raul (Snoop Dogg), another doorman on how to keep his job under the pressure to avoid fraternizing with the residents.
