When limo driver John Bourgignon (John Candy) gets engaged to Nancy Reese (Alley Mills) -- much to the chagrin of her congressman father (Pat Hingle) -- John becomes the target of the politician's enemies: a religious cult of aerobics instructors. Fellow Second City alumni Eugene Levy and Joe Flaherty join Candy in this wacky 1983 comedy that spoofs kung-fu movies, "Leave It to Beaver" and The Manchurian Candidate. |
