Katie O'Hara (Ginger Rogers) is an American girl who marries Austrian Baron Von Luber (Walter Slezak) just before the World War II. An American radio reporter Patrick O'Toole (Cary Grant) thinks that the Baron is supporting the Nazis and tries getting information from Katie. When he fails to do so, he follows them during their honeymoon. Patrick soon falls in love with Katie and when she gets to know that her husband is actually a Nazi supporter, she fakes her death and runs away with Patrick. Eventually she goes back to the Baron to act like a spy for the Allied Forces.
