Jonsey (Bud Abbott) and Lou Hotchkiss (Lou Costello) are wrestling promoters. They promote a wrestler name Abdullah (Wee Willie Davis) who has been throwing matches and no longer wants to go along with that plan. He returns to Algeria making the promoters responsible for a $5,000 loan the mob made to them. Both Jonsey and Lou travel to Algeria to try to bring Abdullah back to America but are tricked into joining the Foreign Legion by Sergeant Axmann (Walter Slezak). The Sergeant and Sheik Hamud El Khalid (Douglass Dumbrille) have been taking protection money from the railroad and Jonsey and Lou are suspected of being railroad spies. |
