Toby Kwimper (Elvis Presley) an innocent Georgia country boy whose family decides to move to the sunny Florida coastal beach so they could to set up a homestead. Once there, together with his dad and siblings they go fishing and enjoy the easy and good simple life they have. However, their fun is short-lived when they are forced to face a nosy social worker named Alicia Claypoole (Joanna Moore) who decides to investigate the nature of the family, if they are properly well taken care of and later attempts to take the siblings away. Meantime, the gangsters try very hard to prevent the happy family from settling in. Since the Kwimper family is pretty much uneducated, the gangsters try all ways and means by taking advantage of their situation in order to break the beautiful family apart.
