Mike Windgren (Elvis Presley) is working on a boat in Acapulco but must find new employment elsewhere after the boat owner’s daughter gets him sacked. Young Raoul Almeido (Larry Domasen) helps Mike get employed as a singer and a lifeguard for a hotel. Mike has conflicts with another lifeguard, Moreno (Alejandro Rey), who happens to be the top diver in all of Mexico. He doesn’t like it that Mike is getting some of his work hours and his woman, a bullfighter named Elsa Cardenas (Ursula Andress) as well. Mike must also overcome his terror of heights by jumping off of a cliff. In his younger days, he had been in a trapeze act but stopped doing that because of a terrible accident. |
