Jess Wade (Elvis Presley) has retired from a band of outlaws. His former gang steals a gold-plated cannon and due to a misunderstanding, Jess is falsely accused of the theft. After hiding, he convinces the sheriff of a small town that he is innocent. The town protects him. His former gang members discover where he is, and one of them, Billy Roy (Solomon Sturges) shoots the sheriff. Jess then takes over as sheriff as the gang proceeds to attack the citizens and threatens to fire the cannon into the town. It’s up to Jess to protect the town, bring the gang to justice and clear his name with the authorities. |
