Lynn (Rebecca De Mornay) and Douge (Ron Silver) are a married couple who go to Mexico in order to find out a new location for their furniture business. Unintentionally they hit a Mexican police officer who dies on the spot. Since the officer was already dead and Lynn was pregnant, Douge convinces her to drive away as they will not be able to prove their innocence if they go to police. Once they return home, Jake Shell (Rutger Hauer) comes to them asking for a job. He tells them that he knows something that happened in Mexico. Lynn and Douge think that he knows about the accident and want to get rid of him before the blackmail goes out of hand. |
