Directed by Mike Hodges, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead is a crime drama set in present day London. Will Graham (Clive Owen) had been an active part of London’s crime scene years earlier, but he left town (for reasons unknown) and live a solitary life for years, out of contact with the people of his past. Upon learning that his younger brother Davy (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) surprisingly committed suicide, Will returns to London to solve the mystery behind the circumstances of his brother’s death, and to seek revenge on those who may have caused it. Boad (Malcolm McDowell), a powerful gangster who once had dealings with Will, is involved in the situation as well, as Will is forced to hook up with old running mates in search of the truth, learning of the troubles that Davy had encountered and people with who he had been involved.
