Feeling adrift after the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, young Wall Street banker Andrew (Aaron Stanford) convinces his equally aimless writer friend Jake (Jacob Fishel) to go on a road trip. Both men nurse broken dreams, finding their life plans in shambles. But as they drive across the country, they learn some important lessons about the things they've lost. Rosemarie DeWitt co-stars in this poignant indie drama.

To most New Yorkers, 9/11 was more than pivotal, it was "the day the world ended" or at least the way they viewed it.

None of it made sense... not to Jake (Jacob Fishel, TV's Without a Trace), an aspiring novelist eking out a living as a sports writer, who always does the right thing... And not to his best friend Andrew (Aaron Stanford, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Hills Have Eyes), a hard-drinking Wall Street wannabe, who lives for the thrill.

When the volatile Andrew hijacks the dutiful Jake for a mysterious, late-night road trip ñ dragging his reluctant (and shoeless) friend away from his typewriter and a poisonous "relationship"- they are halfway through nowhere before Andrew reveals they are enroute to his estranged father's funeral in rural Ohio.

As the service looms, Andrew's tailspin worsens and he does what he always does-runs. Once again, Jake stays behind to pick up the pieces, encountering a waitress at the local diner (Rosemarie DeWitt, The Company of Men, Rachel Getting Married).

Fate conspires to end their friendship, but puts them each on a new path. Though no one knows what comes next, both realize that sometimes you have to get lost to figure out where you're going.
