Boris Plots (Alfred Molina) is having a difficult time with a competing funeral director Frank Featherbed (Christopher Walken) who wants to turn every burial into a show. If that weren't enough, he has fallen in love with his old romantic interest Betty Rhys-Jones (Brenda Blethyn), who is married, although not happily, to Hugh (Robert Pugh). While scheming to get out of her marriage to Hugh, Betty finds out that he's been having an affair with Meredith Mainwaring (Naomi Watts). The twisting road of revenge is one that may keep all characters from succeeding in finding their happiness. |
