It’s been more than a year since millions of people simply disappeared in the Rapture, and Nicolae Carpathia (Gordon Currie) took advantage of the chaos to take power and now essentially rules the world. He had great support at first for he seemed to bring world peace, but things are deteriorating. There’s been an attempt on the life of President Fitzhugh (Lou Gossett Jr.) and he now suspects Carpathia might be the Antichrist, especially with warfare everywhere as well as disease epidemics, some demonically spread by infected Bibles. He throws in with the Tribulation Force, an underground resistance group headed by investigative reporter (Kirk Cameron). Buck’s wife Chloe (Janaya Stephens) is threatened by the viral plague and Buck, Fitzhugh, Rayford Steele (Brad Johnson) and others in the Tribulation Force must try to stop the plagues and head off WWIII. Fitzhugh survives a horrendous fall at the hands of Carpathia, and Buck witnesses to him and he is saved. He then goes to confront Carpathia one on one to try to resolve it all.
