"Love's Unfolding Dream" revolves around the life of a young woman living in Colorado at the end of the 19th century, Belinda (Scout Taylor-Compton). Belinda has always wanted to become a doctor, even though women at that time period were not encouraged to have careers of their own. She does finally convince the town doctor to let her be his assistant, and she tries to prove herself to him that she has what it takes to practice medicine independently. The attractive newcomer to town, Drew Simpson (Patrick Levis) catches Belinda's eye. He is a lawyer from the city who has come back to fix up an inherited farmstead to sell. He plans to go back to his law career when he's accomplished this, but being attracted to Belinda is giving him doubts about leaving town. Belinda is also torn between going with Drew to start a family with him and staying in her small town where she hopes to one day become a doctor.
