Fame is a remake of the 1980 film of the same name. It follows the students of the New York City High School for the Performing Arts. The students are all aspiring and talented actors, dancers, singers, and musicians. The film shows the same group of students, particularly pianist Denise Dupree (Naturi Naughton) and dancer Kevin Barrett (Paul McGill), as nervous hopefuls at auditions, insecure freshman, confused sophomores, more put together juniors, and then excited seniors ready to take on the world of the arts. The teens are aided in their search for fame by their teachers, including dance instructor Ms. Kraft (Bebe Neuwirth), vocal coach Mrs. Rowan (Megan Mullally), and music teacher Mr. Cranston (Kelsey Grammer). |
