Anne Devereaux (Renee Zellweger) is a self-absorbed woman who decides on a whim to leave her philandering band-leader husband Dan Devereaux (Kevin Bacon). She takes the road along with her two sons George (Logan Lerman) and Robbie (Mark Rendall), and she drives across the country in search of a new husband who is able to support her lifestyle and her family. As they find themselves stopping at less impressive lodgings with every turn, and with every romantic attempt ending as an adventure or full-out failure, things are beginning to look rough for Anne's plan to find a new husband. What will she and her sons learn about life along the way, and will they find the life they have been hoping for? |
