Jackie (Kate Dickie), a woman troubled by her past, works in a bank in Glasgow. All she has to do all day is watch people coming and going on the security cameras. She observes their daily activities on a large bank of monitors and reports anything suspicious to authorities. One day, her eye catches a man on one of the monitors; a man she thought she’d never see again, a man she never wanted to see again. The man, Clyde (Tony Curran), has just been released from prison, and becomes sort of an obsession for Jackie. She watches him carefully and begins stalking him. When they finally meet, she seduces him and then accuses him of rape. Clyde’s previous record is incriminating, and he cannot defend himself against her accusation. Eventually, Jackie reveals to Clyde the troubling events from her past, and how he is to blame for all of them.
