In an alternative universe, lying as a concept does not exist. Mark (Ricky Gervais) is a writer down on his luck, down on his luck, in a world where nobody is afraid to tell him they think he's a loser or a failure. His dream girl, Anna (Jennifer Garner) tells him they can't be compatible because she doesn't want fat kids with pug noses. Then one day, Mark figuers out how to lie. In a world where everybody believes everything you say, without question, how far will one man go to exploit the world that has mocked him and to win the girl of his dreams? |
