Band leader Roger Bond (Gene Raymond) is often getting his band, the Yankee Clippers, into trouble due to his flirting. After the band gets fired from a job in Miami due to Roger's flirtations with Belinha De Rezende (Dolores del Rio), Roger offers to take Belinha with the band as they fly to Rio. Roger soon finds out that Belinha is engaged to his friend Julio Ribeiro (Raul Roulien). After some plane trouble forces them to land on a beach for repairs, Roger and Belinha share some romance, but she can't seem to decide between Roger and Julio. We also see a spectacular song and dance number, also including Honey Hale (Ginger Rogers) and Fred Ayres (Fred Astaire). Who will Belinha choose in the end, or will she even be able to make a decision? |
