Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) is a young mexican living illegally in Los Angeles with his family. He had big dreams of playing soccer in the big leaves, but was forced to give up his ambitions "to come to terms with reality," and spends his days working with his father and his nights moonlighting as a bus buy in a local restaurant. He gets his break when a former scout from Newcastle United, Glen Foy (Stephen Dillane) sees his soccer talent at the local soccer league and offers him the opportunity to play for Newcastle. Against his father's will, and with his mother's support, he leaves for London and sets off on an adventure that will change his life forever.
