A not-too-young cowboy named Will Penny (Charlton Heston) is hired to stay through the winter in a cabin in the mountains to watch over the rancher's land. When he gets there, he finds that there is a woman and her young son living there. She is not supposed to be there but Will Penny won't throw her out because winter is closing in. They spend the winter in the cabin and gradually start to fall in love. |
