Ten passengers, amongst them are Maudie McMinn (Lea Thompson), Merideth Cole( Julie Mond) and Sergeant Archie Sparks (Fred Ward) where each is a stranger to one another, decide to board a bus on Christmas Eve where they will travel across Texas. While some of them are in search for new jobs, others are mostly headed home to their family and long time friends. As the bus travels on a deserted section of a highway, it suddenly collides with a Meth addicted biker. Upon seeing this, some of the passengers decide to go to his aid but unsuspecting to them, he immediately opens fire on the bus. Shocked and terrified at the twist of event, the passengers are forced to take refuge in an abandon scrap yard. While they use several improvised weapons, they have to start planning about doing the unthinkable in order to save their lives from the slaying group of bikers.
