Blink tells the story of Emma Brody (Madeleine Stowe), a cellist who was blinded as a child at the hands of her abusive mother. A newly developed surgical procedure offers hope to restore her vision, but afterward things rapidly take a turn for the worst. Emma begins to have visions - or are they hallucinations?- of acts of violence committed by a shadowy perpetrator. She becomes romantically entwined with the detective Hallstrom (Aidan Quinn) who is put on her case and charged with protecting her. In a strange twist, the victims of violence are all recipients of the same sight-saving surgery, and it seems like Emma is going to be his next intended victim.
