Purple Rain stars the Kid (Prince) and also features Appelonia Kotero, and Morris Day and the Time. The Kid is a young musician trying to make it on the Minneapolis music scene. The Kidfalls in love with Appelonia's characher, a young woman wearing mostly just lingerie all around town. There are a lot of good scenes involving the Kid and Appelonia's characher riding around on the Kid's motorcycle. This is a story of rivalry and seduction. It is a love story and a story about overcoming obstacles using ambition. Prince is trying to keep it together, but he must overcome him poor home life with his violent father and suffer the slings and arrows of band rivalry. |
