“The Andromeda Strain” is a brutally realistic look at how an alien infection from another world could impact our planet. It begins with the recovery of a U. S. military satellite by a few civilians who take it back to town and open it. Within the satellite is a plague which once released spreads like wildfire and begins decimating the local population. With only two survivors, an old man and a baby boy, In a secret government laboratory created for just this sort of contingency a group of scientists who are called The Wildfire Team; Doctor Jeremy Stone (Benjamin Bratt), Doctor Angela Noyce (Christa Miller), Doctor Charlene Barton (Viola Davis) and Doctor Tsi Chou (Daniel Dae Kim) work around the clock to find a way to stop this infection. However when the government cuts off the team from the outside world, it’s up to a reported named Jack Nash (Eric McCormack) to help the Wildfire Team stop this ‘Pandora’s Box’ from growing bigger. |
