"Cleopatra" is the classic story of the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra (Leonor Varela) that centers on the idea that Cleopatra was brought to Rome by Julius Caesar (Timothy Dalton) at the age of 18. Caesar bedded Cleopatra after falling in love with her and she bore him a son. However those who control Rome alongside Caesar are not fond of this union and see the unborn child as a threat to the Holy Roman Empire. Especially that of Caesar’s successor, Octavian (Rupert Graves) and this prompts Brutus (Sean Pertwee) and other Roman Senators plan to assassinate Caesar. Now Marc Antony (Billy Zane) and Octavian divide up the Roman Empire with Marc Antony taking Egypt and eventually Cleopatra. Now Octavian plans to betray Marc Antony and they have a final battle in the sands of Egypt with Cleopatra committing suicide but not before she sends her son off to India.
