Bill (Jeremy Theobald) struggles daily for inspiration to write his novels. He comes up with a plan to get real information for his book. He will follow a stranger and then wait for the ideas to come in. Every day he finds a different person. Bill finds himself increasingly more interested in following strangers than in writing. One day, he begins trailing a wealthy-looking, well-dressed man. This man is aware that he is being followed and confronts Bill. Bill explains what he is doing. The man says his name is Cobb (Alex Haw). After being sure that Bill is not part of law enforcement, he invites Bill to his home. There Bill learns that Cobb is an accomplished thief. Complications arise when Bill is attracted to what he sees as a romantic life. He wants to be like Cobb. Cobb has ulterior motives for teaching Bill the tricks of the trade. Will Bill be too far into this new lifestyle before it is impossible to get out?
