Amanda Price (Jemima Rooper) is a young modern-day London girl who happens to be a huge Jane Austen fan, until she finds herself in one of Austen's most famous stories "Pride & Prejudice" as the character Elizabeth Bennet. She meets her favorite characters from the novel and is shocked to find they are not what they seem from the book. Is she now part of the story? Has she become Elizabeth Bennet? She is unknowingly changing the plot of the book and must conform to the manners, customs and speech of Jane Austen's Regency Era. She gets no help from her favorite characters: Mr. Darcy (Elliot Cowan) is not an honorable, courageous man, but obnoxious, Mr. Bingley (Tom Mison) is not the vibrant, friendly character that we all know, but instead a drunk. Amanda must find her way through the story and back to her real life.
