|
Paulina Escobar (Sigourney Weaver) is married to a widely known lawyer named Gerardo (Stuart Wilson). However, their blissful marriage is being tested when one night Gerardo is forced to ride home with a seemingly kind stranger named Dr. Roberto Miranda (Ben Kingsley) after his car breaks down. Both Paulina and Gerardo were once involved in a resistance movement against a dictatorship where Paulina is caught and brutally tortured by the government. Their lives changed when Paulina seems to have recognized Roberto's voice after being invited to come inside their home by Gerardo. Paulina who has not been completely recovering from her hellish nightmares is now facing a psychological repressions as she is determined to get her revenge who truly believes that Roberto is the one who had tortured her while she is in the government's captivity. |
