A young man named Noah Cooper (Dax Shepard) finds his previously stable life taking a downward spiral. Noah’s wife Clare (Liv Tyler) is gorgeous, softhearted and loving, but even after Noah loses his job she keeps trying to push him into getting her pregnant. Clare has invited her screenwriter cousin Myron Stubbs (Mike White) to stay with them. Noah’s domestic situation begins to boil over into unbearable when his mother Marilyn (Diane Keaton) decides to move in with the young couple. Marilyn is upset because she has begun suspecting her husband Gene (Ken Howard) of having a clandestine affair. She brings along her five dogs, and digs in at her son’s home for an unwelcome extended stay. |
