|
American Sarah Jordan (Angelina Jolie) is living in London and married to Brit Henry Bauford (Linus Roache). Jordan meets Nick Callahan (Clive Owen), a British doctor, at a UN benefit and his words and passion inspire her. She joins him in his efforts in Africa to help the sick and starving inhabitants. She returns home, has a baby to Bauford and works for the UN before heading to Cambodia to work with Callahan again. They two bond and start a romance in the midst of the war and sickness. She returns home and has another child before heading off to Chechnya to save Callahan who is being held captive. |
