Starving student and Vietnam veteran Harry Bailey (Elliott Gould) is weeks away from getting his cherished Master's Degree. But with campus protests erupting around him, Harry feels torn between the stodgy establishment and the raging student body. When his girlfriend hints at marriage and his friends join the anti-war movement, Harry must choose between his future career and his passionate beliefs.
