This is a short play about the fantasies, inhibitions and dreams of two lonely matrons who set up competing lemonade stands along a jammed highway. Why? They just don't know. But their lemonade is spiked with vodka and gin and as they taste one another's concoctions, they open up and start to provide answers. Lemonade incorporates comedy and tragedy, a touch of the bizarre, and ultimately, a sincere compassion in both women. Starring Emmy-nominee Eileen Herlie (All My Children) and Oscar-nominee Martha Scott (Ben Hur). |
