“The Haunting of Molly Hartley” is a horrific tale about Molly (Haley Bennett) who is a 17 year old stab victim who is had been attacked by her mother, Jane Hartley (Marin Hinkle). Now haunted by such horrible dreams of the event, Molly’s father, Robert Hartley (Jake Weber) enrolls her in a new school. Over time Molly seems to be displaying various signs of mental illness and each one has a different psychosis which may very well put her in the same category as her mother. Does this mean Molly is as crazy as her mother? However, Molly comes to discover an insane truth that her mother believed Molly must die in order for her to escape a life long servitude to the Devil himself. |
