This series, 'A Newsreel History of the Third Reich', includes unique footage plundered by Russian Troops in 1945. Compiled as it is from German newsreels which were made under the influence of Goebbels' Miinistry of Propaganda, these are by no means accurate histories but allow unique insight into how the period leading up to and including WWII was presented to the German people.

Volume 13 deals with the first part of the year 1943. It covers events on all the German fronts including: Home Front - the 10th anniversary of Hitler's ascension to power, construction of submarine bunkers; Western Front - strengthening the Atlantic Wall from Norway to the Bay of Biscay; Mediterranean Front - Italian convoys off Tunisia under British torpedo attack; Eastern Front - at Leningrad, German defenses face heavy bombardment.
