The Power of Love Tames the Heart of a Lawless Man! In this offbeat western, silver screen legend John Wayne portrays Quirt Evans, a gunslinger who lives with a kindly Quaker family, and under the care of Penelope Worth (Gail Russell), Evans is nursed back to health. Penelope confounds the outlaw's preconceived notions of what it means to be a Quaker, and despite their clash of cultures, the two begin a romance. As both sides learn from each other, Evans soon realizes that he will have to choose between his life of danger and violence, or the simple world in which Penelope lives. But when the young lady is suddenly placed in danger, and Evans is forced into a showdown, he finds the choice may have already been made for him! |
