He was somebody, until the Army turned him into a nobody. Rudy (Jason Biggs) awakens in an Army Hospital to find that he has been mistakenly sent to a base deep in the frozen wastes of Greenland surrounded by only a swarm of mosquitoes. Things go from bad to worse when he finds that his new love interest, Sergeant Irene (Natascha McElhone) is the girlfriend of his superior, Colonel Woolwrap. With nobody interested in getting him reassigned to Hawaii, Rudy goes AWOL looking for a way off this God-forsaken tundra until he uncovers the secret reason for the government's remote base camp. With a group of misfits and red tape, Rudy makes the best out of the worst as he takes on the Army with all of its absurdity. |
